Regional Price & Tax Guide

Siroko lists most products at a single euro price across the eurozone, while VAT rates differ by country. Outside the EU, currency conversion, sales tax and customs rules change what a buyer pays. This guide explains each factor using the SRX Pro jersey as the reference product.

01

VAT & Sales Tax Structure by Country

EU and UK storefront prices include VAT. Because Siroko applies one euro price across most EU markets, a higher national VAT rate lowers the net amount the retailer keeps rather than raising the shelf price. Spain applies 21% VAT and the UK 20%; in the United States, listed prices exclude sales tax, which is set by each state and locality and added at checkout.

02

Exchange Rate Fluctuations

UK and US prices are set in local currency and revised periodically, not daily. Between revisions, movements in EUR/GBP and EUR/USD shift the effective price relative to Spain.

At an EUR/GBP rate of 0.87, the £69.00 UK price equals €79.31, effectively at parity with Spain. At an EUR/USD rate of 1.16, the $89.00 US price equals €76.72 before sales tax, about 3% below the Spanish price.

A 0.05 move in EUR/USD changes the converted US price by roughly €3.30 on this product. This is why US variance figures in the live tracker move without any change in the listed dollar price.

Import Duties & Customs Thresholds

Duty-free allowances determine whether a parcel incurs charges on delivery. These thresholds have changed repeatedly since 2021; the summary below reflects the rules at our last editorial review. Confirm current conditions with the destination customs authority before ordering.

European Union

Intra-EU orders from Spain carry no customs duty. For imports from outside the EU, the €150 customs duty exemption on low-value parcels is being withdrawn, with an interim flat duty per item scheduled from July 2026.

United Kingdom

Consignments up to £135: VAT collected by the seller at checkout, no customs duty. Above £135: VAT and any duty are charged at import, and 0% duty applies only if EU rules of origin are met.

United States

The $800 de minimis exemption for commercial parcels was suspended in August 2025. Duty is assessed on the product's country of origin regardless of order value.

Switzerland

Import VAT of 8.1% is waived when the tax due is under CHF 5, which equals goods value of roughly CHF 62. Carriers typically add a clearance fee on taxed parcels.
